About
Neelam is a research based Early Years professional. She graduated with a Law degree and later attained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, where she found her passion for working with children.
Neelam has a range of experiences related to child development at an international level and has maintained a personal love for life-long learning throughout her teaching career. In over a decade, she has sought to gain an insight into different educational systems and has aimed to develop a deeper understanding of child development. During her previous teaching post, Neelam worked closely with the Senior Leadership Team to develop meaningful teaching and assessment methods for project-based learning. Within this Reggio Emilia inspired setting, she collaborated with parents to ensure consistency between home and school.
In order to achieve positive learning experiences, Neelam strongly believes in the importance of emotional wellbeing, for adults and children alike. Neelam was privileged to receive international training from Dr Ferre Laevers who enhanced her understanding of The Leuven Scales. She has also had the honour of working alongside Dr Emily Hill, an Australian Psychologist who inspired her to implement Positive Psychology within the classroom.
Following the birth of her son, she decided to use her skills and expertise to home educate. Neelam continues to place emphasis on parental involvement and aims to make a positive difference for families. She provides support for parents through workshops and mentorship.
